  1. The first thing you should realize is that you just can't move there. Period. It's not allowed. It's not like moving from New York to California.

Japan has a very tight immigration policy.

Outside of teaching English, jobs will be few and far between. Unless you have a special skill a Japanese doesn't have.

Most Americans teach English. You need a four year degree to qualify for this. You need a work visa. And to get a work visa you need a job offer before you get there.

Other jobs would require that you speak, read and write Japanese at a native level. Can't even work at a KFC without knowing that.

And why would you want to move to a country you know nothing about ?

  2. Well said Carl_ the truth's. That's what I'm talking about!

I answered the same question above.  Are you graduating from college in 6 years? If you do, you can find English teacher job. Other jobs are very difficult.

  4. First thing you should do is to study Japanese very hard.  No Japanese company will hire you without Japanese language skills. Start now! Then, you should find a job in Japan, perhaps they can help you to get a work visa.  Try JET program.  A job to teach English is easily find, I think.  Otherwise, it will be very hard to find a job in Japan, unless your job here in America or England will send you to Japan.
