Question:

What do you have to do on a driver's license test?

Ok, so I'm going to go take my driver's on the road test again. I live in a state that has the test in a closed area and they always do parallel parking first. Last time I got knocked out with parallel parking, so now this time I don't know what comes after that.

Can you mention what other things I have to be aware of for the test? Like the 3 point turn and the stop sign, but what else? And what do they take points off for? Thanks!

  1. not a clue.

  2. Don't hit the curb or the other car on the parallel. Make sure your speedometer hits zero and you feel a lurch on the stop. Look at ways before you go.

  3. I don't know about anyone else but I am glad I don't live in your state or country if you get your drivers license.

  4. They test to see how you back up (50ft.), make a left and right turn, how you proceed at a stop sign, and how you park.

  5. every place is different.

    Come to Nevada and drive lax.  want to cause a wreck here?  obey the posted traffic laws- nobody ever expects that, and will run over you and your car.

    Other features of nevada driving:

    rolling right hand turns;

    right hand turns from the left land, 2 to 4 lanes over;

    vice versa left hand turns;

    hand signals in 40 different languages;

    yellow means 17 more cars can pass the intersection before someone has to stop;

    RED lights- what's that?  (Maybe a roadside brothel if you're in most nevada counties).  No, you can't get people to stop for a red light.  but once they do, and the light turns green, whoever is sitting in the drivers' seat in the first of second car in line, just died or decided to take a siesta, and no horn or hand gesture ever seems to wake them up (all night partying);

    actual speed limit is 10 miles over the posted limit- 15 to 20 if you're a cop in a plain wrapper;

    No need to use turn signals;

    no yearly vehicle inspections;

    Tail light lens busted out, get some red translucent tape or plastic, or any color for that matter;

    get mileage out of the doughnut;

    written driving test on a computer in english, spanish, arabic, farsi; no need to understand english language mandates on posted signs, just recognize the shape and plow on through;

    pedestrians have no rights.

    When you drive in nevada, then go to another state, local governments love you for the cash cow you represent, not being able to drive like a civilized human being and all.  The fines you end up paying, builds infrastructure, parks, and funds just about everything else, keeping their own state income tax rates really low.

    Were it not for nevadans driving in other states (besides California, Wyoming, and regional areas of other western states, tax burdens could be a whole lot stiffer for those dang outsiders.  And then they wouldn't have enough free cash to blow in the casino...

  6. put your seat belt on frist , the y turn is big , also make sure when turning you turn into the closest lane, also thay look for you to cover your brakes in a uncotroled intersection Good luck

  7. They also check if you can back up straight for 5 seconds.

    Always use blinkers.  Check your mirrors. Don't speed. And that is about it.

  8. They always ask you to turn on your turn indicators, and your hazard lights just to make sure you know where they are, so find 'em.

    and, they like to watch you look both ways at a stop sign, so don't forget!

  9. It really depends on the person who is scoring you. Most of the time I would think parallel parking is tested but one time I had to take it and it was not. It may have been that I was older and had moved to a new state but they did not test that.

  10. there is no standard test.  it varies by state.  certainly you have friends with a license.  ask them.

  11. it depends on your state. go to the dmv and ask...or go on your state dmv's website

  12. well there is the lane changing and signal so you have to be ready for that so yeah. then there is the sign test to see if you know what they mean yeah i think that is all but you have to find out your self too.
