The best thing you can do is go to film school. A lot of the film "greats" went to USC (Univ. of Southern California). You can also go to places like the International Film Workshops ( http://www.theworkshops.com/filmworkshop... ). I did both (univ. degree in film and the workshops) because I wanted to be a Director of Photography. You don't have to have a degree per se, however it helps! Another option is a 2 year degree from someplace like Valencia Community College in Orlando (they have a really good film program).
