  1. Probably the Architecture or Landscape Architecture program would be best.

  2. everywhere on the face of the earth

  3. I would advise you not to go into that profession.  The golf course construction industry has greatly decreased over the past years and it will continue to do so.  I would go into turf management or some other career that still relates to golf.  Im in high school, and I want to also design courses but i've had to come up with numerous other options for my career.  A good second career option is to be an Architect.  Thats what I now want to do.  You still get to design stuff.  Most people just think that architecture is designing buildings, but an architect designs a lot more.  They design parks, recreational facilities, and even how a road is to be built.  But most of all, do whatever you want to do.  Good Luck!!!

  4. Cornell has a special landscape program for golf architects.  This is a very intense, competitive business.  There are hundreds of architects out there, some very modern like Fazio or Nicklaus and others that create classic type courses like Tom Doak at Renaissance Golf.

After you finish your education you'll have to get a job as a shaper with a designer or golf course construction company.  You may also want to look into working at a golf course on the maintenance staff.

  5. engineering, geometry, algebra.
