What do you have to do to get a Knighthood in the UK?

How is it that Trevor MacDonald was knighted, but Ronny Barker never was.

Which of them most deserved an honour?

Write a book, become friends with local MP's, pay off call girls with money in brown envelopes that never was declared to the tax people. Lie in court (perjury). Go to prison and have alcohol parties whilst being a prisoner, write more trash diatribe and in all that time become a knight of the realm and then a lord, And still not have those titles removed because they know about the story he wrote(unpublished) about the g*y heir to the throne found in bed with a man servant could be almost true in every sense... so he keeps all his titles and money and he still does not get any respect from any real british person, because everyone hates Jeffrey A.
