Forgotten the password, they give a simple hint, but every combination of the password doesn't work.

Will removing internet explorer work, or does windows itself have to be removed

  1. That's simple.

    Step1

Click on "Start" and select "Run."

    Step2

Type in “RegEdit” and select "OK."

    Step3

Click on the small plus (+) sign to the left of "H_KEY_LOCAL_MACHINE."

    Step4

Scroll down by clicking on the plus sign at the left of the named keys: Software, Microsoft, Windows, Current Version and Policies.

    Step5

    Click on the Ratings folder.

    Step6

Find the icon called "Key" in the right pane of the RegEdit window. Click on it and press "Delete."

    Step7

Choose "Registry," and then "Exit" to leave RegEdit. You have now deleted the original Content Advisor password.

    Step8

Restart the computer and open Internet Explorer.

    Step9

Choose View and then Internet Options (version 3.x, or version 5 or greater). Choose "Tools," and then "Internet Options."

    Step10

Click on the "Content" tab and click on "Disable." When asked for a password, do not enter anything. Just click on "OK." This will disable Content Advisor because there is no longer a password. ....Now copy this and paste into a document.that way if you ever lose your password again. Then you will know what to do.
