Life began as the flower does

with a simple seed...

The big bang, with its last strength

blew across the universe

seeds...

The seed to focus on would be Earth,

here we laid dormant for many,

many years.

Suddenly though it began to rain,

for thousands and thousands,

millions of years,

with this the oceans opened,

and life began to bloom.

Simply at first,

much like a seedling,

simple one celled organisms,

floated about.

This was the few

first hundred years

of life,

but suddenly one seedling,

grew a leaf,

and simple fish were born.

And here began the game of

cat and mouse,

or perhaps fish and shark.

Predator and prey stayed simple

for a few thousand years,

but one day a bud was formed.

One fish thought,

to go were the shark couldn't

and walked on land.

Here he claimed his stake

and began his family.

The simple fish were left behind,

but the complicated was left to grow.

And grow he did,

many generations grew,

many generations died.

but not without leaving their seeds.

So was life for a few million years...

Soon, the bud opened and layers were

added.

Life was as complicated as a rose,

not everyone descended for land fish,

not everyone walked,

some could fly,

some could hunt,

some could even disappear.

Some developed complicated brains

and the ability to choose prey or predator,

so is life now, colorful and complicated

garden...

All because life begins as the flower does...

The poem above is a rewrite.

This is the orginal:
