What do you keep in your dresser, and what do you keep on top of it?

I have a 4 drawer dresser. What should i put in it??

Also what do i put ontop of it? its quite a large surface....

And where should i put it? near my closet, near my door or near my bed??

1st drawer: underwear/socks/bras

2nd drawer: tops

3rd drawer: pants

4th drawer: pajamas and lounge-wear

On top: jewelry, hair items (brushes, combs, etc), a picture and/or small decorative figurine. Don't clutter the top with junk.

As for the placement, I'd say near the closet since they'll be close together and you can look through both for things to wear without having to cross the room.
