What do you know about 5280 or Players pool cues?

Unfortunately there is only one billiard supply store in Charlotte, and it only has a handful of cues. I have been asking people at pool halls if I could try out their custom cues to see how they handle, but I can't try them all, and more than likely I will have to buy online, sight unseen. I wish I could try every stick out there, but my local options are nill.

  1. 5280 is probably a notch of two better quality and makes some cool designed cues, however the inlays are not real.  The thing I worry about players cues is both the ones I have had the shafts warped pretty easy.  I still use 1 to break with.

  2. The 5280 pool cue in detail:

    Players cues:

No matter your choice in brand, it's what feels best to you and is made of wood. If you can't break with it ---- don't buy it.

I know a few people who USED to have Players cues.
