how dos it work? do they just take ferrets? or do they buy them from people?

lol, there are so many ferrets needing homes, and since most shelters are donation-based, they DON'T buy them from people. most of them, in fact, charge a fee for the owner to give them up, since money is needed to keep those places going. (taking care of ferrets isn't exactly cheap.)

this particular rescue does not buy ferrets, but they also don't charge anything right now either.

i'd suggest if you are looking for monetary compensation for your ferrets, try selling them on your own to a good permanent home before going to the shelter. if that fails, then give these people a call.
