  1. He was a Labor Prime Minister of Australia from 1972 to 1975. One of his first acts as PM was to pull Australian troops from Vietnam.

    His government was removed from office in November 1975 by the Governor-General Sir John Kerr, following a number of scandals, the most notable of which involved the sourcing of loans (never obtained) from the Middle East.


  2. Gough Whitlam was a labor Prime Minister in the seventies in Australia  He very quickly got the army out of Vietnam and was the instigator for free medical treatment for the poorer people. He was considered a danger to the moneyed people and with careful manipulation was sacked by the Governor General of Australia . Its a great thing that he could be sacked with out a revolution even though most of us think it was not required but it shows that our system of Government has checks and balances ~~

  3. Gough Whitlam became Australia's 21st priminister on 5th December 1972.  His government was dismissed by the Governor general of Australia on 11th November 1975.  He was a member of the Australian Labor Party.

    He was born 11th July 1916 as Edward Gough Whitlam in Kew, Melbourne Victoria.
