I was reading up on Kefir and it's benefits.. Apparently it fights all the nasty yeasts and whatnot in your body. Anyone know if it fights against yeast infections? I think we're talking about the kind that involves candidas?

  1. yes it does but the best form is RAW if you can fine a farm that will sell it ,it helps build your immune system, I take it my self I wish I could find a farm that would sell it raw

  2. It's a form of yogurt.  That's all.

For people with lactose intolerance, it's a good way to get dairy foods because the lactose is used in the fermentation.

If you like it, eat it, but don't expect miracles.

  3. Kefir is wonderful.  It has all the benefits of yogurt and more.  I started drinking it when I had some stomach problems.  My body actually craves it when I get run down.  It takes a bit to get used to the taste. If you like yogurt you will probably like it.  You can make your own from curds.  I am in a group that supports kefir makers.  http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/Rea...
