i dont relli understand that much... i only learn that it is a self defence tactics or moves that could protect ourself from danger.. and also to make our body healthy.. it also control ur mind and make u very aware of surrounding which make u a really mature person...  but to master it is very hard. kung fu not about beating up people and showing off those wacky moves.. people misused kung fu as a tool to use it to harm other people.. and im very sad because of that..

It's a form of martial arts. Bruce Lee is the face of Kung fu and more recently Jet Li. And there's a movie called kungfu Panda.

that it is more of a philosophy and exercise, than an applicable fighting art. while other asian martial arts like judo and taekwondo have evolved into sports and have combative applications, kung fu is more like a way of life to keep oneself healthy.
