Some mountains in the Philippines are thick with forest woods and some are denuded by illegal loggers. You're lucky if you can spot wild boars, birds, and other animals in the mountains. Most of the wild animals are being hunted by local inhabitants.

Some of our country's mountains are rich in flora and fauna. They have thick jungles, but honestly, some are being quarried. They have some animals that are unique to the Philippines.

A couple of mountains here have legends. One famous legend is about Maria Makiling, she is believed to be beautiful lady living in Mount Makiling.
