I would say Conflict Theory. Functionalism requires that the members of the society work together and in agreement in order to be successful at maintaining social order. Conflict theory on the other hand requires that one group show control over other groups in order to maintain social order. That would go against veiwing cultural practices as being equally valid and worthy of respect. I believe that symbolic interactionism is more on a micro level and deals with an individuals way of ascribing meaning to symbols
