It rains a lot. They have wonderful food, beer and chocolate. The Flemish people are very friendly. It is a bilingual country, the Flemish people speak Dutch and the Walons speak French. They have some important port cities like Antwerp and Brugges. Antwerp is also important for diamonds. Leuven has a famous university. Brussels is the heart of European politics. There are quite a lot of diplomats living there. Fresh vegetables all the time. Nice open markets and flea markets. They have lots of museums. Museums about everything you can think of. Peaceful and nice scenery in the Ardennes. Parks and forests. Nice country.Worths a visit. Have fun.

P.S: Yeah, I forgot to mention German. And I corrected Antwerp for the diamonds. Sorry for the inconvenience. : ) )

that they are caucasian and no different to anyone else, it rains alot and you have to pay extortionate amounts to use public toilets, even in cafes!

in the North : Flemish (Dutch) = +- 60 %,

in the South :French = +- 35%

in a very small part in the East : German + +- 5%

The French speakers are called Wallons and not Vallons.

Fully agree with gugu, except that Belgium has got three official languages.

Dutch - spoken by the Flemish people in the northern part

France - spoken by the Valons in the southern part

German - spoken by a minority in the East of Valonia near the German boarder

Lived there years ago, on and off for 6 years. Nice place, but not a very nice looking people. Much prefer the Dutch, friendlier and much better looking.

There are 2 main languages spoken in Belgium, Flemish and French, they also speak English in alot of places.

as it happens i know quite a lot about all sorts of countries and their inhabitants as i'm not ignorant. in your case i highly recommend books(shops, library) or wikipedia to brighten your horizon.
