What do you know about colonial Mexico in the 1800's? How much transit would have existed between Europe + MEX

Like the US obviously had immigrants from Ireland and Italy and Poland and the like

would Mexico have experienced the same amount of immgigration?

  1. Well, in the 1800's silver was mined extensively in South America, specifically Potosi. The europeans controlled this and enslaved the natives to mine. They then brought over black slaves from Africa because the natives of Latin America were dying off. The silver was traded to Asia for tea and silk and other luxuries. Tons of transit existed due to the silver trade and movement of slaves. Mexico didn't really have immigration like the US did, alot black slaves from Africa came over however. Also, a fair amount of Europeans who traded goods with Asia, and frequently traveled to South America moved there, also many Europeans had plantations there.

As you know  from 1492 to 1700 america was the most important place for Spaniards and for many countries from Europe  in the 1800s mexico have lots of products  in this time  france was one of the main countries that import and export  from silcer and gold to chocolate other countries  that have  very important  commerce was England, Italy, Spain, France and Asia too and Veracruz was some of  most  important ports in America
