I also think you are in the wrong section. Hoosier Park is a great track to go to if you are interested in the sport of horse racing, but I don't think that is what you were asking about.

well....i think you are in the wrong section. this is about HORSE racing and not about our RACE as in color.

Assuming you posted this in the correct area, which I do have some doubts about, Garrett is about 1 1/2-2 hours from lovely Hoosier Park in Anderson, IN.  They have a thoroughbred meet and a harness meet at different times of the year, with a smattering of quarter horse events during the TB meet.  Indiana Downs also offers live racing, it's about 2 hours away.
