What do you know about omens, are they real?

Question

My friend is a believer in omens and today she said I had three omens of warning, a bat flew around the inside of my apartment 3 times before hitting the wall and dying (no clue how it got in), then the power surged, and there was a spark with no smoke (hard to explain further).

I don't really know what to think, but it was a creepy series of events.

What do you think?

well...the bat is creepy. but the poor thing was probably confused as h**l, never been in a house before he should've been sleeping. if you live in utah the power surge and spark isn't so unnatural. all of Draper is on fire and has been all day. and if your not in utah, remember it's still summer, power surges are really normal. and a spark doesn't have to be smoke related either. like when you drag your feet and shock someone. i don't know all of the details but i'm sure they could be debunked. i believe in intuitive omens. like when you think a small situation or dream an event and they happen, like deja vu.

a lot of people look for omens and signs, but for the most part it is what you make of it. there could be any number of reasons why something happens, you just have to decide for your self what it means. while i do believe there is fate, destiny, serendipity (whatever you want to call it), i don't think that alone should rule your life.
