  1. Sometimes you felt a heaviness and couldn't hold your head up at work?  Welcome to the world of the average working person, and there's nothing paranormal about it. :)  Sounds like John Edward (fraud extraordinaire) planted an idea in your mind and so you went back and tried to retroactively justify this idea, a sort of self-fulfilling prophecy in reverse motion.

  2. you close off your energy feild and send everything back out using your mind so that nothing gets in and keeps going back out

  3. No, John Edwards seems like a good psychic but is confused about the nature of how his and the ability of others works. Touch has always been a sign of healing. Jesus demonstrated this many times in front of his disciples, raising from the dead, casting out demons and anointing. Jesus taught this to disciples and they passed it on to other Christians, to heal in his name.Thats why hand laying is major in Christianity.

Their are important Chakras on the palm of the hand for absorbing and issuing out some sort of beam of light in the non-optical range of the eletromagnetic spectrum. Maybe Etheric, but it is unknown. To say the fact that touching people who are in need is draining your energy is a deception, negative telepathic eletromagnetic wave emissions from Higher dimensional beings(Demons), who do not want you to heal. Jesus cast 1000 demons out of a crazy man, how much energy did that take?

  4. :all that is NOT mine"

  5. Being an empath, there really isn't much that I've found that can completely block out emotions. I personally believe that I'm meant to experience other's emotions, such as that woman, who could heal people with her touch. So I've learned to drain, or ground out, everything that's not mine. There are two ways I do this... grounding is one way. I extend roots down into the earth, from the bottom of my feet, and draw up some earth energy and fill my body with it. It feels like warm mud to me, which is soothing, and then I bring down white light and wash away the mud back down into the ground, taking with everything that's not mine with it. The earth cleanses it and recycles it.

Another easier way is simple to say out loud, "All that is NOT mine please leave me immediately." But when I'm really "full" this doesn't work so well. Grounding is more soothing.

But yeah...I pick up stuff just walking through the grocery store.

    EDIT:

hehehe...sorry. I have missing word syndrome... I wrote it so even when I re-read my mind automatically fills in the blank. lol

  6. Shields are the best friend of an empath. Many people with empathy will also build, instinctively, mental 'walls' to keep the emotions of others out, but these seem to be only moderately effective.

Some empaths will, as a self-defense mechanism, emit "positive" emotions in stressful situations. This is an attempt to combat the negativity they are feeling from outside sources, and this can leave them drained if they do this without conscious control. I have this problem myself to some degree, though I've gotten better at shielding over the years. It's easy to recharge though if you know basic energy work (which is needed for shielding) as well as knowing how to truly ground and center (which not many people go to the depth I do).

Empaths often seem to be "healers" and have a need to touch and try to 'fix'. I don't know whether or not this is also a self-defense type behaviour ("Your stressors are making me stressed so if I heal you, you won't be stressed and thus won't make me feel it") or if empathy simply naturally accompanies those who are born with the urge to heal.

  7. l don't see why building an actual shield which you can see and is tangible to you in front of you and the person doesn't work ,no need to follow all that complicated c**p .

  8. its something to protect people from any psychic attacks...

  9. You must learn to shield yourself if you choose to open your psychic mind further.  The shields are within your mind, and you are the controller -- but make sure you know how to do this before you start reaching out to other minds, else the cacophony can be deafening.

There are levels of protection.  When I am with my daughter, I shield very little.  When I am with anyone else, I have multiple levels in place.  I had to learn to do this because I was way too open and picked up so much information that I became a transmitter.

  10. She should be more worried about picking up their nasty germs.

Maybe what Edwards said was subtle pretend psychic talk and really meant "don't be so damned ridiculous, not even I can fake faith healing"!
