  1. First of all it takes a big dude to play O-Line. In the NFL the avg. size for an O_Lineman is 6' 5 310lbs.

  2. 5 positions - Center, Left and Right Guard, Left and Right Tackle

Center-hikes the ball to QB and used for pass-blocking

Guards- line up next to the center and focus on pass-blocking

Tackles-line up next to the guards and are used more to open  up holes for the run and are more mobile than guards and the center

  3. The offensive line is the most important part of the game of football.  The protection of the QB and the blocking asignments for the RB are essential to winning the game.  The line is the least glamorous of the team.  You never hear of an offenseive lineman winning MVP.  But, behind every MVP are  the offenesive lineman.

  4. a load of sweaty balled men using sport to hide their homosexuality...x

  5. Big guys that protect the Quarterback, block defensive attackers and create holes in the defense for Running backs.

  6. They protect the quarter back from getting sacked and open up running lanes for the running back.

  7. Brains of the team-carries the team on offense-with no o-line, can't run or pass the ball. Everything starts with the o-line. The foundation.

  8. 5 spots

    Center

    2 guards

    2 tackles

center hikes the ball then blocks

guards who are closest to the center also block

tackles who have to be descent atheletes because they protect they protect the QBs blindside.

they all have to start on the snap count if not its a false start.

If they flinch or move early its a false start.

    they cannot hold a defender

they cannot go upfield on a pass play until the ball is caught

  9. the single most important position in football is the 5 offensive linemen. BTW you scare me Carol! I have to go get some holy water now so see you later.
