  1. I live beside it.its not bad at all.It has the biggest campus in ireland.A church, and aload of astro pitches they just finished a huge gaa astro!!!

  2. There are quite a few universities in Dublin: Trinity College, University College Dublin, Dublin City University ... I can't say I know the University of Dublin, but has been a number of years since I lived and studied in Dublin.

  3. Are you talking about Trinity College, in the city centre? If so, it's a beautiful campus and has an excellent academic reputation. It's very central, well serviced by public transport, and has plenty of shops, cinemas, etc - all amenities - within close walking distance.

Edit: I'm presuming you're talking about Trinity College because that's also known as the University of Dublin.

  4. University of Dublin = Trinity College

Apparently if you walk under the archway (the bell tower) in front square, and the bell rings while you're under it, it means you'll fail your exams.

The buttery serves a wicked speciality pasta of the day for €3.50. The Museum building has some huge skeletons of stags in it and it feels a bit like Hogwarts in there. The book of Kells is c**p, don't go see it. You can't walk on the lawns. Not this week but next week we have RAG week so if you go there then, there's sure to be plenty of drunken debauchery to be had. The toilets in the PAV are disgusting. There's not even locks on the doors. I recommend any other toilets.

You don't get this in the tourist books

  5. a relic of british imperialism

catholics were barred for years from going and irish wasnt thought there

  6. Do you mean Trinity, or UCD, or DCU?

They are all excellent places. I don't understand what you are asking. Your question needs to be more specific.

  7. reading everyones answers just confused me so ill explain it simply.

Firstly Dublin has three universities, Trinity , UCD, DCU.

Trinity is the one that is known as being posh and in the city centre. DCU is about the same size as trinity and is kinda known for sciences and businesses etc. But UCD is the biggest uni in Ireland.

Its located in South Dublin (about 20 to 30 mins bus ride ... lots and lots of good and regular buses available into the city centre). The South of Dublin is known as the nicer posher and safer area (althou of course ther are some nice places on the north side also). Ucd is located in the heart of south dublin and I attend it. you always feel safe there no matter what time of day or night it is.

Its a  very large campus and caters for many many courses (which can be found on http://www.ucd.ie). It is a great colleg as it is full of so many different people, wher are Trinity is known for being full of s****. people (although of course thats just a stereotype!!!!). Ucd is also great and very high up there with sports and has a society for pretty much any sport or hobby also which is a great way to meet people.

    hope that helped

    :)

  8. I presume you are talking about UCD.....i was at an open day there a few years ago!!! It seems like a nice college with excellent degrees on offer
