  1. Although it took a few tries to find one I really liked, I like the idea of the fair trade product whether it's coffee or chocolate. Although producers seem to be working on consistency from one crop to the next, I've grown fond of an Ethiopian Yirgacheffe and for chocolate I like Green & Black's.

  3. "Fair trade is an organized social movement and market-based approach to alleviating global poverty and promoting sustainability. The movement advocates the payment of a fair price as well as consciousness of social and environmental standards in areas related to the production of a wide variety of goods"

I can give or take fair trade.  I think it's a great idea, but only see it in coffee and tea products (presumable there are others).  If this means paying a higher price chances are I won't go for it.  I'm not wealthy and need to save my money as much as others.  I do frequently buy a fair trade Chai tea, it's no more expensive than others you would buy and it's of excellent quality.
