I teach K-8.  7th is a lot easier than 6th, for many reasons.  One, your age; and two, the curriculum.  You learn US history (6th is the much more difficult ancient civilizations).  Science is biology.  Math is even easier in 7th than in 6th.  7th grade is an excellent year for most students.  I believe it's a year where kids learn more about socialization than academics.  

As a teacher, I prefer the highly academic years, 3rd, 5th, and 8th.
