I'm just curious. I want to know from those who have taken the American Red Cross babysitting course(or another course)

What types of things did you learn and did it make a difference whether or not you got hired?

  1. when i took the class it was about 3 years ago. they tought me cpr. and activities to do with the children. they also tought me how to set a table, i have no idea why haha. it actually does make a difference because they give you a certificate of completion, and they give you alot of great tips and other cool stuff. it was worth it and fun for me . you should do it (:

  2. i am a certified babysitter from the red cross and  a babysitting course you learn cpr , how to care to tots and infants and watch videos and also learn how to care for their boo boos like cuts or bruises and change daipers

it doesnt matter if you gethired or not because at the end of the cousre you will be certified to babysit and you can go out and do your own thing

  3. i remember i had to bring a baby doll to the course.

we learned how to change dippers, what kids of different ages should play with, safety precautions, cpr, what to do incase of an emergency, etc.

very helpful class. i got a card at the end, and the people who hire me for babysitting are very impressed, so it does make a difference.
