What do you like about L'Aquila?

Albe Fucens.  I thought it was the most interesting and beautiful area of the province.  With the excavation site and all the old sites (amphitheatre, mini coloseum, church which was historically a temple to Apollo over two thousand years ago) the area is just fabulous.  The people are really friendly.  There are a number of great restaurants and cafes in neaby Avezzano & Forme.  My husband's family is from Forme and between Forme and Albe Fucens, it is the most beautiful and tranquil place on earth.  Can't wait to go back.  And I love the Irish themed bars in the area.
