  1. I like it because it is a pretty good sized track. Dale Jr normally doesn't do good there but I have a feeling he will this time.

  2. Everything.

-Can see the entire track from any seat on the front stretch

-3 or 4 wide in the corners, straights

-Large pit boxes for the pit crews

-Easy to get in, easy to get out of after the race...I always hate sitting in traffic for hours after leaving a Cup race.

  3. I like it because I grew up in Michigan and went to several races there.  Its a fast track with many racing lines so you can adjust your lines all over the place if your car isn't working.

    Stewart is decent here.

    starts - 19

    wins - 1

    top 5 - 9

    top 10 - 13

    avg finish - 12.5

  4. I love this race track, as for my driver he loves the race track but it doesn't love him:(

  5. i like it because it's the closest to where i live.

and...one of my favorites usually does very well there.

    =]

  6. Michigan is a fun race to camp at.. the race itself is usually pretty boring. Since that is the closest track to where I live, we've been there a quite a few times.. would rather drive to Bristol (which we have) The hospitality is much better at almost any other track that we've been to.

  7. I lived within thirty minutes of MIS until I moved a couple months ago. For years the NASCAR races are B-O-R-I-N-G. The open wheel cars were by far the most competitive and faster. I've had seats across from pit road, been in the infield, best seats were nose bleed row ZZ in the fourth turn. Only place you can see the entire track. Always went to party and drink beer. The best part was up to six hours ( yes 6 hours) to get out of the parking lots. Plus, they many times made you go in the direction away from where you live.

Leaving after the race has been improved to two-three hours.

  8. I like the exit to the front straight because the driver can get on the throttle early and the speeds build quickly. Ambrose got to qualify for the big show so I'm at least happy for that.

  9. I like it because I am from Michigan but also Bobby LaBonte used to do well and hopefully he can make a come back tomorrow. And I also like the Rousch Fenway team and part of there Headquarters is in Michigan. So basically Everything!

  10. 3-wide, multiple grooves, junior breaking the winless streak, good racing

  11. i like the high speed and wide racing and yes tony does do well here

    (hes winning nationwide race)

  12. I totally agree with Ed K, this is a great track with multiple grooves and should be an interesting race tomorrow..at this point it's anyone's race to win/lose, should be a great points day for Hendricks!

and yes all my picks do very well at MIS

  13. There is not much I like about it, except that it is really wide.  However that does not always provide for the best racing.  With the new car I am not sure if that is ever going to be the case again until they allow them more freedom to try different things.

I just hope that this race does not turn into another fuel millage race, those are never very exciting when the leader can back off the pace by 1 second a lap to save gas, when he has a 30 second advantage...

Other than the track being really wide, I don't know if I can think of anything else that is special about the track that I will be looking for on Sunday.

  14. I like Michigan that's my dad's home track and my fav driver usually does good there He has 2 wins in his carreer there Go #17!!!!!

  15. Nothing - it's too wide with too many grooves.  The drivers may as well have cruise control because they don't have to drive much.  Not enough passing.

I'm not a fan of big wrecks, but you need a few cautions to give 'em a chance to work on the car.  Otherwise, the guy who unloads the best wins and as someone said - it's a 400 mile parade.

  16. Wide track that gives us 3 wide racing, and drivers going 200mph into turn 1 and 3.

and yeah Carl and Kasey do alright at MIS.

  17. i dont

    it's boring

  18. Michigan of course, no Tony doesn't do so well here...

  19. The fact that there are multiple racing grooves there that can all be fast depending on how you set the car up,,,,,which is rare on some tracks because of the new car.  At the mile and a half tracks, they just seem to all get in line with not much passing.  And Dale Jr. has done well at MIS of late, winning the race there earlier this year, and qualifying 4th for tomorrow.  Ought to be a good race.

  20. NOTHING!!
