  1. I love Frank's answers and to them, I add these:  1)  As a masseuse, I LOVE the feeling of going to work each day and giving people something that's really good for them.  I love feeling like I'm helping them to improve their health and well-being.  2)  I love the peaceful environment I work in.  It really is a temple of healing, and I find people are on their best behaviour, rather than their worst, when they come to see us.  3)  I love the feeling of creating safe, nurturing space for people.  I love how clean our spa is, how beautiful, how well-appointed and how deeply we care about each and every one of our clients.  They truly are wonderful people, and so are we.  I feel deeply appreciated and loved by most, if not all, of our clients, and this makes me really happy on a daily basis.  4) I see my boss go out of her way to buy the very best oils, the very best equipment and to provide/hire the very best therapists she can.  She is an excellent therapist herself, and I love the work we are all doing together.  5)  One of the particular best aspects of working as a massage therapist is that I actually feel better as the day goes on.  I love giving massage.  It relaxes me, makes me more sensitive, makes me happy, makes me calm.  How many of you can say that about your jobs?  Hawk Mountain Resort in Plymouth, Vermont.  Come see us!

  2. What I like most Is the Look of disbelief after a session when the pain and the stress is gone. I combine it with The Touch  and Such(tm) a Energy modality from my family  O Yes. I am CMT RMT in the Denver metro area

  3. As a masseuse I am biased but what Id like to say is that massage works superbly in two main ways. It improves the circulation (and many illnesses and health problems are caused by poor circulation). It is also super relaxing and relieves stress. (Many other illnesses are caused by stress and the inability to relax.) By improving a person's circulation and relaxing the person you can deal with a lot of problems, even in just one session.  Add the wonderful medicinal benefits of essential oils to a massage and you have an aromatherapy massage.  This is wonderfully beneficial to health and sheer bliss at the same time. Don't expect to feel fit to drive home afterwards, you might fall asleep. Use a taxi for you visits to an aromatherapist. Fully qualified aromatherapist are trained to ask the correct questions about your health before treatment and know when they can and cannot treat a person so co-operate fully with all that you are asked.  I have had one doctor and many, many nurses as patients. All doctors should have a massage at least once a month!!!

  4. being an alternative therapist massage is the number 1. the relaxation is superb the reduced muscle tension feels fabtastic. people get off the bed feeling lighter freer and more relaxed than when they wake up in the morning. the theraputic value for aches and pains is second to none and my clients usually sleep like a baby that night what more could you ask.

  5. the happy ending muahahhaha

  6. Massage most closely resembles the early childhood nurturing that most people never ever receive that causes the low self esteem and lack of self confidence in people.

I am a massage therapist and when I get my weekly massage, I never want it to end.

There is actually no scientific proof that it increases the circulation nor does increasing the circulation really matter to anyone.

What massage really does it gets people back in their bodies and feeling their feelings and bring new levels of consciousness with it.
