  1. how close we were....that was mommy baby time

  2. I'm all about the closeness and the bond and all that jazz- but that can come in different ways if you're not breastfeeding.  I'm all about the ridiculous amounts benefits health-wise and what not, too.

But for me, the best part, was that it was so ridiculously easy to get out of the house.  Don't have to worry about bottles, if I have enough formula, if I have enough water, etc.  I didn't have to rush home if I didn't have any formula with me... I didn't have to watch the clock and time my errands around feeding time.

    Plus, it's a lot cheaper :)

  3. the middle of the night feedings or early morning. When it's just me and her and she is looking at me as she falls asleep while she eating and patting my breast like she saying "good girl" lol. Not having to make a bottle and listen to her cry while the water warms up. It just much easier.

  4. The bond you get.  The feeling that you are the only person that can do this for him.  And the health benefits

  5. It make you feel happy, worthy and comfort.  You feel so close to your child and make you feel proud.

  6. I would not change those moments for anything in the universe!

If I could only describe the way my daughter (5 month old!) looks at me when I breast feed her, the way she grabs my face and how she smiles at me when I sing to her while b.f. it the best of the best!

Amazing Bond! I feel her and she feels mommy's Love!

Seriously it is the best thing on earth!

  7. not having to make a bottle at 2 am! just been able to pull my boob out and feed her

  8. Honestly, I hated it! I switched to formula after two months. I'm horrible I know!

  9. Just knowing that I am giving them the best they can get for brain development.

  10. Nothing calms down a temper-tantrum like nursing.

Nothing makes siblings closer than tandem-nursing.  My toddler and baby used to hold hands while they nursed together.

For awhile my son would applaud when I went to nurse him at night.

    Plus I'm lazy and cheap.

And you never have to worry about going out anywhere and running out of food!

  11. evrey thing its his favorite food! on top of that it prevents you from getting breast cancer later in life and my baby is soooo healthy you can tell just by looking at him that he is breast fed

  12. I'm still breastfeeding my 11 month old. My mom said to me the other day, "He's almost a year old. Have you started to wean him yet?" And I wanted to cry. I suddenly realized that I wouldn't have that continuous physical and emotional attachment to him.

I know how much I am benefitting my son by breastfeeding him. Not only by helping him create antibodies, and boost his immune system, I am increasing his I.Q. and helping him adjust to this new world that can be kind of scary.

Even though he still wakes up throughout the night, I can't complain about it. I love every moment that I spend with him. I'm a non-traditional college student and just started back to classes. The last two weeks, even though I'm only away from him for about 3 hours a day, have been two of the hardest weeks of my life. So the bond I have with him through breastfeeding means even MORE to me now than it did only a month ago.

Just being close to him. I have a special connection to him that no one else will ever have, and that makes me feel pretty darn special. :)

  13. The bond..not having to spend a fortune..knowing she is getting the best possible food..being able to look at my little girl eye to eye...I can go on and on.

  14. I loved knowing that my son could live off of me and needed me for everything you know, love, comfort, food, hygiene. I also loved the natural let down every time my son would nurse I would get so relaxed I would be inches from falling asleep. It is a feeling that is so complete and I cherished every moment I nursed my son.

  15. The mother-child bond.....the wonderful convenience of it....the financial savings!

Oh and as another lady mentioned, extended breastfeeding does significantly lower your breast cancer risk.

  16. the best i like about breast feeding is that how much healthier they are from it....

  17. looking into his eyes, and us needing eachother
