What do you like to do the most in Rome Italy?

I'm going next week.......What about little out of the way,little known places that are safe? Yanks!

I don't know I have never been there but am definitely going to go you should go see the coliseum among the other famous architecture there.

Personally, I like just wandering around finding interesting spots to take photos and trying neighborhood restaurants out of the tourist area. There are a ton of unusual places to visit and things to see in Rome.

One thing that a lot of people miss in Rome is the view through the keyhole at the Consiglio di Malta on Aventine Hill. There's a picture here: http://www.theculturedtraveler.com/Archi... and others:

The Crypt at Santa Maria della Concezione dei Cappuccini is also worth a visit if you're interested in seeing works of art made from the bones of .more than 4000 monks. http://www.cappucciniviaveneto.it/cappuc...

The Museum of the Souls of Purgatory is essentially a ghost museum.

Or you could go to the Pasta Museum of the Presepi (nativity scene) museum across the street from the forum. There's also a 2000+ year old pyramid but it's a little more out of the way.

You should definitely visit the main tourist spots - my favorite is the Pantheon and I like the Santa Maria Sopra Minerva church that's near the Pantheon. (Look for the oblisk with the elephant out front).

Walking around the Trastevere district in the evening...or taking an aperitivo at Campo de' Fiori.

Rome is generally a safe place, though you should watch out for your bag all the time and try to avoid going alone around the Termini Central Station at night.
