  1. Brisket, Sausage, Hot Dogs, Hamburgers, Jalapeno Poppers and Beer!

  2. Hot dogs, hamburgers, and/or sausage things.

  3. I think the menu depends on game time.

If it's an afternoon game, I like the finger foods/appetizer-type deals b/c I know I'll eat a regular dinner later.

For that, I like chips & salsa, veggies and hummus, jalapeno snacks and beer (of course).

If it's a night or evening game, I like typical dinner foods: pizza, veggie burgers, veggie brats, chips, etc.

(I don't eat meat, but I still like to tailgate!)

  4. Pancakes!

    Sometimes waffles.

Did I mention that I like to eat pancakes during a tailgate?

    You should think about pancakes.

  5. The primary staples for a tailgater are hot dogs, hamburgers, and bratwurst.  These can be thrown on the grill without much preparation, and can easily be cooked while hanging out with the guys and predicting scores and stats.  In colder weather, some people bring chili, but that takes a little more preparation, and requires bowls and spoons.  As a first-time tailgater chef, you might want to stick to the three meats, and then move up from there.

  6. beer

  7. Carne asada.  Just carne asada and maybe some tortillas.  And anything else you can cook while holding a beer.
