  1. Good simple home style cooked food at reasonable prices. I am not a fan of gourmet meals covered with creams and sauces with a $50 per plate finish. I prefer a clean, casual restaurant with a varied menu and a daily special. If I want atmosphere I`ll look at the setting sun, it`s free. I don`t want to pay for crystal chandeliers and linen tablecloths.

And please, no trans fat cooking.

  2. Good Food that arrives to the table HOT

    Clean bathroom

    Friendly Servers

  3. Good fresh food that is  prepared well by chefs who give a d**n.

Portions that aren't too big nor too small. I don't want to go home hungry  but I also  don't want leftover food, just my personal opinion but food I take home is NEVER as good as it was in the restaurant.

Cleanliness, especially in the bathroom. A dirty bathroom  always  makes me wonder, if they don't care about the state of the bathroom then whats going on in the parts of the restaurant I can't see, like the kitchen

Waiters who know their way around the menu and who have the time to answer my questions

Finally, just a small thing, that will keep me coming back to a restaurant is staff that remember me. Not  necessarily my name but my likes and dislikes. My favourite cafe doesn't even ask me  how I want my coffee any more, they just smile and say "the usual ?" and less than 2 minutes  later there it is on my table...I LOVE that :)

  4. 1) Clean restaurant & bathrooms

    2) nice lighting

    3) nice employees & good service

    4) free refills on soda

    5) pepsi products - I love MD!

    6) good prices!

    7) good music in background that isn't so loud you need to shout to the person next to you.

But for me, the bottom line is I want to have good service. I would like an attentive waitress who checks back and can multi-task. I just to be a server, so I can either be the most understanding or your worst critic when it comes to serving!

  5. Beside the obvious, cleanliness. A good balance of food quality, serviing size, and value. Try not to immitate the chains. Differentiate yourself by offering unique menu items. Put a little different twist on things that will make you stand out. For instance, instead of serving a quesadilla with sour cream and salsa, why not top it with a Roasted Chipotle sauce. Also, make sure your customers know you use brand name products as ingredients. There is nothing that will run me out of a restaurant faster than seeing a condiment on the table like Sysco Brand Ketchup and Mustard. That immediately shows me the quality level of your establishment.

  6. family style,buzzing atmosphere,great food

  7. atmosphere, polite waiters/waitress, good food

  8. 1. Cleanliness

    2. Atmosphere (something to look at from the table thats interesting and could possibly aid akward silences or kill boredom)

    3. large serving of food (and to go boxes available when full) if the food is good then i'm going to want some later.

    4. good service (attractive waitresses and waiters is always a plus)

    5. complimentary mints or candy after the meal. everyone needs somethin small and sweet or something to freshen their breath after eating

  9. good food that doesn't cost a bazillion bucks

    polite respectful servers

    some nice decortations for atmosphere

    clean

big portions not small little portions that leave you hungry

a menu with a large variation of items and choices

more vegeterian friendly options for veggies like me
