What do you look for when renting a room?

What do people look for when they are looking for a room to rent? The single people, the married, and the elderly (ex: private bathroom, internet connection, cable network..etc) and at what price is reasonable to you?

price range depends on the area you're living in. but never spend more than 800 for a one bedroom apartment. you look for maintenence. look at the quality of the cabinets, the walls. look to see if the carpet is light, that means its going to get dirtier easier.
