What do you love about Lions?

African lions, Asian lions, mountain lions, Detroit lions...Lions, lions, lions, love them.

Lions are strong, brave, fast, and

I love how beautiful and majestic lions are. They combine power and grace, and have a very noble face. I also love the fact that they are the only truly social cats - they hunt and raise their young co-operatively, working together in an impressive fashion.

Mountain lions, also called pumas or cougars, are a different species. They are also beautiful animals (all cat species are beautiful in my opinion), but are much smaller than lions and do not live in groups, making them less impressive.

I assume the Detroit Lions are some sort of sports team - I'm from England so I have no clue about American sports. Sorry!

I like African lions - they are such bad a**es.  Plus, don't they sleep like 20 hours a day.  That's my kind of life - hunt, eat, sleep. repeat.

Lions are just amazing animals that live together, they are beautiful animals, with big soft manes, big padded paws, beautiful eyes... I could go on forever, but the inspiration comes from disneys the lion king, they are soo cute!!!

Young lions do not help to hunt until they are about a year old.

Lions have been celebrated throughout history for their courage and strength. They once roamed most of Africa and parts of Asia and Europe. Today they are found only in parts of sub-Saharan Africa, except for one very small population of Asian lions that survives in India's Gir Forest.

Personally I think lions are wicked creatures but I would stay away from them. As with all other felines, they are fully carnivorous- just like your little tabby cat, but several hundred kilograms heavier!
