What do you love to see in a garden?

the noise of a water feature, especially at night or first thing in the morning when the kids are in bed and i have a cup of tea or glass of wine and unwind from the chores of the day

l design and build gardens and it's great when l finish the garden and coming back l see the customer sitting on a bench enjoying the garden l created

Plants that attract birds and butterflies.  Also a bird bath- it is a water source for squirrels and chipmunks as well as birds.

Oh I love your suggestion, I also love water features especially ponds with fish, although we have small children so I had to settle for a safe but not as nice pebble fountain!

I love the "cottagey" victorian garden type look, with low shrubs and then taller plants such as delphiniums, as well as rose hedges (my pride and joy in my garden is my ragussa rose hedge!)..I love the mixed up, could have been done by nature but wasn't type look!

I also love driftwood or interesting stones here and there for interest, I prefer those sorts of natural things to statues or anything like that.

I love wildlife so I also plant to attract bees, butterflies, birds etc as a garden wouldn't be a garden without its wild visitors!

when i think of a garden i think of mainly a vegetable and fruit garden with a nice bench at one end with a small water feature surrounded by small flowers, i think of it like this because i am completing my garden and that is pretty much what it is, i just cant wait until the blueberry trees have grown i am training them into an arch leading to my hand carved wooden bench and fountain. though the fountain is still not done.

I love a rippling brook, falling from a water fountain, wild flowers, butterflies, birds, and a comfortable place to enjoy these. A few rabbits and squirrels running through the garden would be great, too.

I enjoy seeing healthy plants of various species all lush in health and color.  I enjoy seeing butterflies and birds flitting about, insects pollinating the flowers and whiptails dashing across the yard in pursuit of a tasty insect.  Tasty to the whiptail, that is.

(ANS) I personally like to see the pink cherry blossom & I can totally understand why the Japanese make such a big thing of it. I always look forwards to seeing it each year even though it only lasts a few weeks.

Well there alot of things i like to see in a garden but i like to see is a bird bath for the birds blommed flowers roses daisys sunflowers and stones that outline it i think thats makes a beautiful garden

I love trees    so that I can sit under them, and while doing that I would also like lots of flowers to look at and all the insects, bees etc. Everyone should have a garden instead of covering it all with cement, which deters everything, which to me is criminal.
