  1. Obama has divided loyalties and I dont think his first loyalty will be to the American people.

  2. Not knowing the politics of the New Yorker it's hard to know, but I think it dangerous and over stepping the mark. I'd like to see a cartoon of Barry Blitt dressed as Klu Klux Klan.

edit: thanks, knowing the politics of the publication makes a difference, if it had been pro neo-con I'd have a different view.

  3. NOw I have to go find it thanks thanks allot.

    IDK.?

  4. It was a satirical poke at the imbeciles in American society who are trying to ruin a politician by making wild unfounded accusations about Obama and his wife.Making it front page they hope to cause as much fuss and debate about it to finally put this nonsense to bed.Unfortunately some people don't get satire and in particular in the redneck belt where this is sure to be way over their heads they'll see it as confirmation of their stupid notions.I don't think it worked.

  5. It's satirical.  If the same cartoon was placed on the cover with McCain and his wife it would be funny.

  6. that's not funny

and i read it with my eyes

  7. Somebody finally got it right.

Seriously-how is that any different than the countless cartoons depicting Bush, Cheney, or McCain as a war monger?

  8. I see where they're coming from, just putting a literal picture to what some insane people are saying about Obama.  However, I wouldn't choose to do that.  Let the crazies make their own pictures.  Don't do it for them.

Whoever thinks the image means that the magazine staff think Obama is a terrorist is fairly stupid though.

  9. It's Political Satire,what's the problem?

  10. What's there to read? The message is pretty obvious. Political cartoons have never been known for their creativity.

  11. Well, Bush has paid the American media over 1.2 Billion in order to lie for him.

So I guess this is not to be un-expected in todays political climate of slandering.

  12. Quality!

    lol.

  13. I saw the New Yorker's front page Obama cartoon here on the TV news last night 15 July 08.  I was not impressed.  I was under the impression that the New Yorker, an old established magazine, had sensible things to say to the citizens of NYC and across the world.

In my opinion, the cartoon was devised by childish imbeciles and it will do nothing except destroy the once highly respected name of the New Yorker.

It was neither funny nor remotely artistic.  It was plain c**p.

  14. I heard one of the members of the media from new york on about this the other day. He said it worked they had the first sell out of the magazine in years with this cartoon on the front and there is talk that they are going to do more of the like for McCain and all over the next few months. wish i was the cartoonist myself do and be getting paid the royalities that he is bound to get for that image on tshirts and all over the next few months.
