...in his acceptance speech. Is he really willing to take on the Republican establishment on what have historically been three of his key issues if he isn't willing to mention them at the convention?

  1. He has taken on the party on these issues. You haven't been listening. His stance on immigration nearly caused him to lose the nomination.

He is the senate leader on campaign reform. The bill is named after him. He was also in support of global warming initiatives long before Bush and the party.

He avoided these during his convention speech but I'm sure he will talk more about them in the campaign and certainly the debates.

  2. Who cares,

Global warming = Hoax no longer a key issue

Immigration = Did obama? but i agree with you. neither mentioned it

    reform? = did obama?

  3. Global warming doesn't exist.

  4. McCain is just another Republican with no willlingness to change the status quo.  So what, they got a woman Governor to put a spin - temporarily- on things.  She's so conservative and with the religious nuts that she'd strip all women - except herself and her self serving issues - of their rights.

  5. Because the Repub. campaign isn't about real politics it is about PR politics.  Please check out the article below.

  6. I interpret the whole speech as superficial bs, full of imperi

  7. McSame is owned by the religious right and they don't have the intelligence to recognize global warming.

  8. McCain needs the republican base to support him or he has no chance.  Pandering, at it's finest...

  9. Let us not pretend that either party is interested in doing anything but issuing fluff to the masses.  There really isn't a dimes worth of difference between them anymore...just the menaingless rhetoric.  At this point in the game aren't we convinced that what they say to get elected and what they actually do are two things that have nothing to do with one another.  This election is a distraction from what our governement is doing on both sides of the aisle.  In much the same way that the phantom "racism" distracts from the more real economic divide.

Want change?  Quit paying income taxes.

  10. McCain doesn't want to talk issues because he has no solutions to offer, only stay the course (remember that old repuglican phrase?) with the last 8 years.
