I saw a McCain supporter say that he's moving to Sweden if McCain doesn't win. Weren't people complaining when actors were making these statements? It seems pretty childish to me.

  1. Well, he won't be moving anywhere, because, despite what people think...you cannot just up and move to a european country. They all have MUCH tougher immigration laws than we do.

He'll be allowed to go and stay there for no more than 3 months.  He can take a long vacation if he wishes...but they'll arrest him and deport him as an illegal if he tries to stay longer than that. Not to mention he won't be able to claim any health care while over there, he won't be able to drive, etc, etc, etc.  It would be funny to see him try though...

He should move to Iraq.  That seems to make more sense to me.  Then he could practice what he preaches and try to help the war effort, instead of moving to one of the most liberal countries in the world (doesn't make any sense, "If mccain doesn't win, I'm moving to sweden"...what!?)

  2. why move to sweden?

Sweden has a pretty high tax burden when compared to the US.  If they are trying to get away from liberal socialism Sweden would be one of the last places i'd go.

It's like being scared of snakes, and because of that fear moving to the rainforest where snakes are everywhere.   It just doesn't make sense.

Not saying that sweden isn't beautiful (i've heard great things about the country)

  3. I think anyone who isn't voting for Dr.Ron Paul, should leave the country before they vote, because if any of the others get in it will be no different to what you have now.

  4. Bluffing. The statement makes no sense. It's a cry for attention.

  5. I've been hearing that sort of thing every election since '68.  Can't remember anyone actually leaving.

  6. If they leave fine. When they say it & don't do it they look like over emotional fools. Instead I guess they are saying they think the country will be ruined if their candidate doesn't win & they wouldn't want to live here. Some people can't say what they really think cause they are so used to lying.

  7. Well he wont need to move

    McCain is the next President

  8. The Hollywood ones are even better...I see Dimwit Alec baldwin is still here...sean penn is still here....Let them all leave I say......But if Hillary or Obama wins, Im moving down the street

  9. Lots of Republican expatriates move to Sweden. It's the s*x change capital of the world.

  10. like all those people who said they would move to Canada if Bush won re-election in '04....I have found that the loudest whiners are likely people who don't even vote...

  11. Oh, please.

    All talk, no action.

And, who says Sweden would want him anyway.  He has to have permission from the Swedish government to "move in".

  12. they dont mean it.. thats just the way they express themselves.
