  1. Here's a very brief answer: 'try google'.

  2. Here are two brief explanations:

A system, common in Europe in the Middle Ages, where access to farm land was gained by service to the owner, the feudal lord. Initially, no money was involved in transactions between the serf and the lord, although the payment of cash in lieu of service became common in the later Middle Ages.

Feudalism was a system of society in which vassals acknowledged and fought for a lord in return for his protection for their persons and land tenure. The lord in turn paid allegiance to a king in return for his granting of their status.

  3. YOU ASKED FOR IT!

    "in breif"

    My serious answer:

I think it should be an age where everyone was fighting. Feudal comes from "Feud".

  4. Feudalism refers to the particular government system that brought stability (and relative peace) during the medieval period.

Classical China and Japan are often refered to as Feudal societies, but their structure and operation was not the same.

Feudal society works similar to the way the Italian mafia works.

To join the mafia you must pay certain dues every month to the local boss. He collects your money and pays to the area boss. The area bosses pay dues to the next level boss until you get to Don Juan (the big boss).

In Feudal society, each lord has their own local powers. The king is week and has only a small, mostly powerless army. When the king needs an army he has to ask his lords to raise soilders and money. So the local lords and actually very powerful, run the local laws, make their own law, only paying money to the king to keep their power.

If you own land in a kingdom you must swear loyalty to the King. Which is a problem, if you are say the king of scotland and own land in England. The king of england can say, you own land in my kingdom you are my subject. The scottish king can say, you own land in my kingdom I am your king.

Then they go to war to settle the problem.

Along side this system was a seperate, roman inspired, emperial system of the catholic church with laws laid down by the pope and immunity of soverign power.

There were a lot of local variations on this theme, but that is basically it.

  5. Feudalism is a type of government where the provinces' leaders cooperate with each other when it comes to governing their lands....

  6. In a way it can still be seen in every days' practice of many a society...for example if corruption and nepotism is widely spread, mighty people in power are just like royalties who decide who gets better share of, say jobs, payments, contracts, etc...and that's just like in a feudal state like Saudi Araby for example... Russia is also a good example of modern feudalism: Putin is just like the Romanov royal family used to be before communist revolution in 1917... He's an absolute ruler of Russia, have no doubt about it, and that's because he allows best shares of Russian economy to be taken by people who support his leadership...He even decided who the next Russian president will be, while he himself will remain a prime minister, a position from which he will continue to control the corrupted system of Russian tycoons...and if you think USA are much different you are living in Disneyland !
