  1. OK, I am a teacher and believe it or not, I understand what's being said!

The BIG issue in education today is preparing students for the 21st century and society. This means that all students must be prepared to competently use computers and other forms of technology and to learn topics that are relevant to today's society.

So, it is necessary to have technology PHYSICALLY in the classroom in the form of adequate computers and other forms of teachnology. PHILOSOPHICALLY, the content (subject matter) of what is taught must integrate the use of computers. For example, if a unit on biology is taught, students must be able to locate information on websites, prepare a Power Point presentation, make a database or Excel chart, etc.

Content, another word for subject matter, must have social relevance to students and also be meaningful. Therefore, studying geometry must be put into a context that studentsa will find useful in real life. In that way, they are PERSONALLY MEANINGFUL."

METHODS of teaching are likewise important . Years ago, teachers stood in front of the class and lectured while students took notes. That is no longer acceptable. Teachers are required to engage students in learning activities that make students active learners and not just passive receptables of information.

    Hope that helps a bit!

  2. Yes, I see what you mean.  It's written in English but it makes no sense to me either.

It is written in a psuedo-language called "marketingise" and has no real meaning.

Best to ignore this and move on.
