What do you mean by: to live is to eat and to eat is to live?

when someone "lives to eat" they have an obsession with food, and that's what all their thoughts are consumed of.....and when someone "eats to live" they have the mindset of an anorexic, they get by on very little so they don't die.

'Live to eat'  is that you know how to enjoy life ..smell the flowers along the way ..slowly enjoy the food ...

'Eat to live' is live for the sake if living.  Eating your food is just simply swallowing it ..you do not care to find out how nice the food taste.
