  1. vegetative propagule is the unit of vegetative propagation.

      In lower plants it occurs through binary fission,budding, fragmentation, gammae,resting buds,soridia etc.

       In higher plants every part of the plant body can takes part in vegetative propagation.

        The main vegetative propagule are root,under ground stem which mainly includes suckers,rhizome,corms, bulbs and stem tubers,

    creeping stem that includes runner, stolon,offset and suckers.

      Aerial shoot like the segment of opuntia, segment of sugar cane etc.

      Leaves like marginal notch in bryophylum etc.

      Bulbilsi.e a fleshy buds found in oxalis,pineapple etc and Turions i.e the fleshy buds develops in aquatic plants.

      The slips are small piece or plant lets develops in the root tuber which can be removed and used for propagation.

    In asexual reproduction, a propagule may be a woody, semi-hardwood, or softwood cutting, leaf section, or any number of other plant parts.

    In sexual reproduction, a propagule is a seed.

    In micropropagation, a type of asexual reproduction, any part of the plant may be used, though it is usually a highly meristematic part such as root and stem ends or buds.

    2 ) Slip (horticulture), a small cutting of a plant as a specimen or for grafting .
