  2. They are companies that employ temporary workers from other countries to do certain jobs that the company can not get employers to do that job.  These jobs include reforesting and construction.

    The process is that the company will hire you and the company will file a petition to USCIS office to allow you to work temporary in the U.S.  The company is telling USCIS that they are going to sponsor you and to make sure they are going to take of you.  That you are going to have a job and a place to stay.

    Obtaining and working in the U.S. with an H2B visa will not allowed you to adjust status.  It is not a path to legal permanent residency.  But, if you married a U.S. Citizen she can file a petition for you to become a permanent resident.
