I need to make something I can use to clean my bathroom and kitchen counters with. I don't want to mix anything that will create toxic fumes, just something that will get a little bit of dirt off and sanitize. Please tell me how much to use and what items to use. I will fill a spray bottle with the solution.

  1. 1 part bleach, 6 parts water and a drop or two of dawn dish soap.  Never mix bleach and ammonia - the fumes can damage your lungs if you breath it.

  2. For a sanitizer that doesn't give off any chemical fumes, fill a spray bottle with half water and half vinegar. If you don't like the vinegar smell you can add some lemon juice.

  3. I fill a spray bottle with 1 part bleach to 6 parts water, does a great job and my bathroom smells clean! Failing that, buy cold water sterilising tablets from supermarket (very cheap) and pop one in the spray bottle filled with cold water. Sterilises, disinfects and smells so clean!

  4. I use a little sink dish soap mixed in a mild bleach solution, but it will probably foam up if you put it in a spray bottle. A slosh of bleach plus a moderate squirt of soap in a quart or half gallon of water does the trick.
