I know you need bolt cutters, but I was wondering if anyone could tell me what I need specifically. For example what brand and model i'd need and how strong the cutters need to be. I'm also looking for the cheapest selection possible. thanks!

  1. you can cut it with a circular saw with a metal cutting blade. a reciprocating saw with a metal cutting blade will work also. either blade can be found at a hardware store and are inexpensive.

  2.   Get a hacksaw with a tungsten carbide blade and pour watter as you cut so as to keep the temperature generated by friction down.

  3. It's either bolt cutters or a special saw if it's a real expensive lock like the ones that are round. Home depot has both.

  4. http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/di...

you can use that with some luck... or if you have access to an air compressor and die grinder.

  5. most of them open up with a hacksaw
