  1. Wear a tie

  2. What you need to know is every little bit of information about each club. Like what shaft fits which club the best and what golf balls go best with which clubs.

  3. Hey mate, there is really only one thing that you require to be a great sales person in any area, Know your product and I mean everything about it.  Use the clubs, find out whats behind the design and who, know the company your selling for and there history.  The worse thing for any person that is buying  product is being sold a product from someone who has no understanding of it.

  4. You can always check out the PGA job site. Many club manufacturers post jobs there. In each job posting, it will list the qualifications for each position. Good luck.

I think you mean as a territory rep for a major manufacturer like Ping or Calloway.  Generally you need a couple years of experience in wholesale sales and account management.  You would also need a strong background in golf and be knowlegable in the latest golf technology.  Strong communication skills, professional appearance and willingness to travel.
