  1. Where I live you need a masters degree in elementary education.

  2. You have to get a bachelors degree (4 years) in elementary education.  I would also get a minor in early childhood if you want to do kindergarten.  In high school you could take phsychology and sociology classes but going to college will teach you what you need to know.

  3. To start you need a bachelors degree and get your Masters w/in like 5 years.

  4. first you need to know how to

    spell it. k-i-n-d-e-r-g-a-r-t-e-n

  5. You need a masters degree, and I suggest a prescription for Valium before you start trying to teach little kids.

  6. patience and an anti suger force field

  7. This site has lots of info regarding teaching in IN.  http://www.doe.state.in.us/  On the right side of the page is an area titled : Teacher Licensing--I suggest you check it out.    I am qualified to teach kindergarten and I went to a 4 year college, majoring in Early Childhood Education.  If your high school offers AP classes in any subject, i.e. math and English, I suggest you take them because then you can skip those particular required courses in college.  Psychology classes can also help you to understand people and their behaviors.  Teachers salary varies--but I read the average salary for a new teacher is around $21,000.  This is a terrific website for you to get more info:  http://www.nea.org/student-program/about...
