  1. dont listen to science teacher, i bet he's an antifreeze  salesman

  2. the best thing to do would be take it in to your local boat shop...

  3. A really easy, but not energy efficient way is to cover the boat up and turn on a small space heater.  It takes almost no heat to keep the temperatures under the cover above freezing.  Also you need to fill the gas tank completely up to prevent condensation and add fuel stabilizer to the tank the last time you run the engine.

  4. Any water systems need to be winterized. If it has a potty, it needs to be emptied and a small amount of antifreeze put in the tank. Use the environmentally friendly pink anifreeze sold for boats and rvs. For the fresh water system, empty and put in an antifreeze. We use the cheapest vodka colored green. We pump it through till green comes out the faucets. It is better in the spring than the pink stuff. If there is a grey water tank, empty and antifreeze. Empty the bilge and put in a snmall amount of antifreeze, environmentally friendly, since it is pumped overboar in the spring.

Usually we change the oiland filters now. We put antifreeze in the engine. In some you need to run it into and outof a pail with antifreeze until the thermostat opens. The batteries should go home to a armer place if possible.

Take all food out of boat as mice can get in. Take all liquids out either food or cleaning products as they may freeze depending on how low the temperature gets.
