I am getting married in a banquet hall which has a built in speaker system. I can use the speaker system but not their equipment. That man I was able to speak to was not very helpful and I am left unknowing what I need.

There is an outlet that has a spot for a microphone and then two spots for the speakers.... they look like a regular cable outlet (like for cable tv... where the cable just screws on). I am obviously lost... do stereo's have normal adapters on them???? I am just really confused and don't know if I need some type of adapter etc.

  1. Maybe if you have a stereo mixer which has many inputs and outputs for speakers and microphones and receivers.

  2. Without pictures or a better description it is difficult to help you.  In many installations, speakers that can be directly driven from an external amplifier with have 1/4 phone jacks.

If your intention is to play music from a stereo system into the hall's speakers you will have to determine if the speakers can be driven this way.  Without that information it is possible for you to damage your stereo.  Do you have any friends who are knowledgeabe in electronics?  That would be a big help.
