As i stated in a previous question, I was a majorette for 4 years of high school and am now looking forward to trying out for a college dance team. The only problem is that I cannot get hold of the instructor or the guy who shadows the dance team... Ive been trying for months. Since I have little dance experience except for the dance twirl in majorettes, does anyone know what type of stuff I will need to know when trying out. Also, I heard we need to learn and preform a jazz routine and a hip hop routine. (we learn it one day and perform it the next) do you think i can do it since i do not have that much dance experience? I love being in front of people, and i've had a ton of experience performing in front of huge crowds. thanks.

  1. they always look for technique but its equally as bad not to have any spirit. It sounds like you are pretty spirited. The best thing to do would be to go to tryout you never know what will happen. If you dont make it this year then you know what they are like and you can work towards it contact the dance coach and ask what you can improve on or take classes at school that will help.
